The Bluemont Excavating Novice rep team travelled
to Waterford on February 1st for their second game of OMHA
playdowns. This game was a nail bitter and saw no scoring until the third
period when Tucker Otto found the back of the net with help from Carter Skillings
and Cooper Yantzi. Less than two minutes later Carter Skillings scored to put
Tavistock ahead by two. Waterford answered back, but the Titans battled hard to
hold them and finished with a 2-1 win. Logan MacMillan made many great saves in the
Tavistock net.
On Saturday, the team played host to Six Nations in league playoffs. The titans came out skating hard and continued their success from Monday night’s game with another win 6-5. Tucker Otto led the way for Tavistock with four goals. Morgan Brenneman and Jake Hauss each added singles. Assisting on the goals were Cooper Yantzi (2), Carter Skillings and Alex Michiels.
