U11 LL 2 Rings in the New Year as B Champs in Drayton
Game 1: vs. Drayton White and it took until the 2nd period for the Titans to find the scoreboard taking a 1-0 lead on the strength of a Gavin Reeves shifty goal around the netminder to get the event underway.  Tavi took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd period on a goal by Chloe Gillespie, firing it to the far side and just under the pad of the goalie.  Alex Zehr in net for Tavistock turned away would be threats, until with 43.7 seconds left in the 3rd Drayton was able to get one past him, making it 2-1 Tavistock - after some hard work by the group in the dying seconds Tavistock would pick up their 1st win of the Tournament.

Game 2: vs Arran-Elderslie Minor Hockey - WOW what a game this was - Tavi jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal from Cole Willicombe cleaning up the rebound in front of the net.  Titans would went into shut down mode on defense and maintained puck control throughout 90% of the game, and again Alex Zehr turning away would be goals with some outstanding saves.  AEMHA would tie it on a sharp goal the got in under the bar to make it 1-1 after regulation, and to a SHOOTOUT we went.  First 3 shooters for Tavistock was Chloe Gillespie, Gavin Reeves & Cole Willicombe, and after those 3 it stood 1-1 - Tavi's 4th shooter was Desmond Hart who had an unlucky break as the knob of the goalies stick made the save.  Setting up the controversial game winner for AEMHA, some would say that the puck never got passed the goal line but the refs see it a different way and AEMHA picks up the 4-3 win in arguably the best game the Titans have played all year!

Game 3: B Final vs Drayton Black - Tavi picked up right where they left off from earlier in the day and the scoring continued with the game being tied 2-2 after the 2nd.  Goal scorers were Desmond Hart and Chloe Gillespie.  Cole Willicombe made it 3-2 with an early start in the 3rd period, Drayton would tie it to make it 3-3, but Desmond Hart would make it 4-3 on a beauty goal, and ultimately sealing the win!

Honourable mentions to the entire group of players with everyone stepping up and playing a role on the weekend throughout the day - excited to see where this sets the team up for the next stretch.
