Pee Wee Champ's in Mitchell
Bruce Kropf Forestry Pee Wee Reps go 4 - 1 to capture Championship in Mitchell Tournament.
This past weekend the Titans took part in the 59th Annual Mitchell Minor Hockey Tournament. Friday morning for game 1 they were up against the host team from Mitchell and were able to come out and take the lead just over 2 minutes in. The game was pretty tight through 2 periods and then the Titans opened the flood gates in the 3rd scoring 5 goals in a span of 10 minutes and took the 7-1 win. Game 2 Friday afternoon against a tough Ilderton team was a different "Slow Motion" game that seen the Titans fighting from behind the whole game and just couldn't get anything going and took a 4-1 loss. Game 3 Saturday morning against League rivals from Twin Center was a "win and your in" game to move to the Semi Finals, the Titans took the lead early and never looked back and controlled the whole game winning 5-0. The Semi Final game vs Flesherton proved to be a good game back and forth and goalies at both ends making key saves for there teams and with the titans leading 2-1 late in the 3rd it was some hard work and shot blocking in the D-zone helped keep Flesherton off the board and let the offense take over and score with just under 3 minutes to go to seal the deal with a 3-1 win. With all day Sunday to recoup and prepare for the rematch with Ilderton in the finals the Titans came ready to play. Taking control of the game right from the opening faceoff and made it pay off scoring 3 in the 1st. Wasn't until the 3rd period Ilderton was able to make it interesting scoring one and change the momentum in there favor, but with great PK and Shot Blocks, superb goaltending the Championship was the Titans.
