Titans and Flames Split Games
The AMKAD Novice LL #1 had 2 games last week in Grand River League playoff action, with home and away matches verses Ayr Flames #1.
Game 1 went on Friday night on home ice as the Titans provided a very solid team effort, ending up with a 3-0 win over the Flames. Leading the way for Tavistock was Chace Robinson with 2 goals and 1 assist. Gavin Witt added a single, while Cowyn Baker chipped in with a helper. Cameron Zurrell lost a sure goal due to an early whistle. Bryce Hutchison was solid in the Tavistock net, earning the shutout. On Saturday, the team headed to Ayr for an early game, and after a hard fought battle, a tired Titans team dropped a 5-4 decision to the Flames. Point getters for Tavistock were Chace Robinson 3 (1), Cowyn Baker 1 (1) Gavin Witt (2) and Bailey Brenneman (2). Next action for the Titans is Wednesday when they will play host to the Woolwich Wildcats. Game time is 6:00 pm.
