Rubber Match Determines Fate of Titans in Playoff Action
The AMKAD Novice LL #1 Titans met the Woolwich Wildcats on Saturday in a rubber match to determine who would advance to the finals in Grand River playoff action.
After a 2 goal deficit, the Titans rallied to tie the game, forcing a sudden death overtime period. An action packed extra period saw the Titans battling hard both offensively and defensively to the final minute of play, when the Wildcats were able to net one on a powerplay opportunity. This would unfortunately eliminate the Titans from the final playoff round. Point getters for the Titans were Chace Robinson and Gavin Witt, with Quinn Yule picking up the helper. It has been a very successful season for the Titans as they worked their way up into the top of the B Division, thanks to a great coaching staff and a hard-working team. We are all proud of their teamwork both on and off the ice throughout the season. Well done Titans!!
