Bantam Reps sweep first round of OMHA
The Dordan Mechanical Bantam Reps have swept their first round OMHA series with Waterford, and now prepare for the International Silver Stick from January 22nd to 24th in Forest.

On Monday January 11th Tavistock hosted game 1 of their OMHA series with Waterford, and after a slow start, skated to a 6-1 victory.  Ben Wiffen led the way with 3 goals and 3 assists, with Liam Pullen picking up a pair of goals and an assist.  Tye Boyd scored the other Tavistock goal, with additional assists going to Kyle Roth, Daen Richards, and Brayden Hutcheson.  Jon Segeren made some big saves early in the game and picked up the win in goal.  Game 2 in Waterford saw Tavistock jump ahead early on a goal by Cal Munro.  Jon Wood, Pullen and Wiffen also found the back of the net, as Tavistock shut down Waterford with a 4-0 win.  Assists went to Hutcheson, Kyle Roth, Brayden Powell, Mike Schlotzhauer, Boyd (2), and Brady Roth, with Mason McKay providing strong play on defence.  Segeren was once again solid in goal in recording the shutout.  Game 3 was back in Tavistock on Saturday the 16th and proved to be a close game.  After Waterford opened the scoring, Tavistock scored three straight goals and led 3-1 late in the game.  Waterford scored with 30 seconds left to make it interesting, but the locals were able to hang on for the 3-2 win and a sweep of the series.  Munro, Wiffen and Taylor McKay notched the goals, with Brady Roth picking up an assist.  Segeren played well in the Tavistock net in preserving the win.
