Novice Reps are the OMHA Novice CC West Finalists!!
The Bluemont Excavating Novice Reps did not disappoint the hometown fans last Wednesday night for game three of the OMHA finals versus the South Huron Sabres.

After a ceremonial puck drop by Kyle Wilhelm and the beautiful singing of O’Canada by Tori Burchatzki, the action-packed game got underway. The Novice Reps were ready to go and pressured the Sabres right out of the gate. The visiting team got on the board in the first, but the boys kept battling and finished the second period only down by one. Early in the third period, the Sabres went ahead again, but the Titans continued skating hard. With four minutes remaining in the third, Chace Robinson picked up the puck and skated end to end and buried the puck in the Sabres net. The titans weren’t done just yet, with 20 seconds remaining in the game Gavin Witt netted a goal to tie the game, with help from Chace Robinson. This sent the game into overtime. The boys continued to battle hard, but with less than four minutes remaining in OT the puck bounced in favour of the sabres and the team finished with a 3-2 overtime loss. Goaltender Logan MacMillan made numerous great saves during the game and was named the series MVP by the OMHA convenor.

Congratulations Novice Reps on a great season! It has been over 15 years since a Novice team from Tavistock has made it to the OMHA finals. You all played with such passion and heart in this series and we are all so proud of you!
