Novice Reps Begin Regular Season
The Bluemont Excavating Novice Reps began their Southern Counties regular season this past week with 2 games on the schedule.

On Thursday, the team headed to Paris to take on the Wolfpack.  The Titans came out skating hard and took the lead early in the game.  The Wolfpack answered back, making it a tie game at the end of one.  The second period saw the team battling hard, adding 2 more markers on the board.  Unfortunately, the opposing team pulled ahead, and after many scoring opportunities, the Titans were unable to recover, dropping a 7-3 decision to the home team.  Jay Alexander picked up the hattrick for the Titans.  Some great defensive play came from Jackson MacMillan, Drew Roth, Cam Munro and Peyton Christie, while Spencer Otto made some key saves in the Tavistock net.

Back on home ice on Saturday, the Titans played host to their rivals from Twin Centre , taking the lead in the first, on an unassisted goal by Cam Munro.  Jay Alexander, with the help of Tyler LaFleur and Evan Nahrgang, made it a 2-0 game at the end of the first.  The Titans held the Stars in the second, only allowing 1 goal.  The third period saw both teams battling hard, but unfortunately the Titans suffered a 7-4 lost on the night.  Third period point getters were Munro 1(1), Alexander 1(1) and Nahrgang (1).

The team's next action is Tuesday, October 17th when they are on the road to take on the Express in Ingersoll.  This is also a "Think Pink at the Rink" charity game for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Players will be sporting pink accessories to support the fight against breast cancer.  Fans are also encouraged to wear pink!!
