The
Bluemont Excavating Novice Rep team continued their OMHA quarter final playdowns
this week with two games in Waterford. Game two of the series went on Monday
night. Tavistock came out skating hard and after two periods were up by a goal.
In the third period the team pressured their opponents and added two more goals
to finish with a 4-1 win and a 2-0 lead in the series.
The team travelled back to Waterford on Saturday night for game three. This game was a nail bitter which saw Tavistock get the first goal but Waterford quickly answered back. After two periods, the game remained tied. The titans found the back of the net late in the third to take the lead but in the final minute of the game, Waterford tied it up. This forced an overtime period. The titans found the back of the net in OT for a 3-2 win, sweeping the series in 3 games!
Point getters for the week were Jay Alexander 4, Marshall McKay 1(1), Tyler LaFleur 1, Keagan McMahon 1, Cam Munro (2), Peyton Christie (2), Drew Roth (1), and Evan Nahrgang (1). Goaltenders Grayden McRoberts and Spencer Otto were solid between the pipes in each of their games to ensure the wins.
The team will now advance to the semi-final round against the Twin Centre Stars. Good Luck Titans!
