Novice Reps Playoff Hockey News
The Bluemont Excavating Novice Reps began their OMHA semi final series vs their Twin Centre counterparts in Wellesley this past Saturday.
The boys came out skating hard and were able to get on the board mid-way through the first. Three more markers in the second frame saw the Titans with a 4-0 lead. The Stars were down but not defeated as they answered back with 2 goals late in the second. The third period saw the Titans battling hard but in the end, fell to the hometown team with a 5-4 loss on the night.
Back in Southern Counties League playoff action, the Titans travelled to Ayr on Sunday to take on the Flames. After a slow start and a 3-1 deficit heading into the second frame, the boys battled back and were able to extinguish the Flames by a score of 8-5.
Point getters for the weekend were Jay Alexander 5, Keegan McMahon 3, Brady Kuiack 2 (2), Tyler LaFleur 1 (1), Cam Munro 1 (1), Drew Roth (3), Jackson MacMillan (3), Peyton Christie (2), Dylan McCann (2), Parker Glitz (2), Marshall McKay (1) and Evan Nahrgang (1). Both goaltenders, Grayden McRoberts and Spencer Otto, made many great saves in the Tavistock net.
The boys are back in town on Tuesday night for game 2 of OMHA semi finals with a 6:15 start.
