Atom Rep Hockey News!
The Saputo Atom Rep Titans had a busy week of play.
Starting with a game Tuesday, October 15th, they hosted the Simcoe Warriors and lost 7-5. Dealing with this first defeat of the season, those making the score sheet were, Drew Roth 2(1), Jay Alexander 2(1), Peyton Christie (3), Evan Nahrgang 1, with Ryan Zehr and Grayden McRoberts each chipping in with a helper.
The weekend was spent in Tillsonburg going 1-2 in tournament play. Game 1, a 5-3 win versus a heavily penalized Thorold. Point getters were Tyler LaFleur 2(1), Alexander 2, Narhgang (2), Roth 1, and Christie (1). Player Of The Game honors went to Lafleur.Game 2, a close 3-2 loss to Port Stanley. Those hitting the score sheet, LaFleur 2, Roth (1), and Brady Kuiack (1). POTG Roth.Game 3, was a one sided loss to a heavily favored host Tillsonburg team. The boys held them to a 1-0 advantage into the second period which in my opinion was the victory. Then Tillsonburg poured it on. The highlights were the Titans ability to not give up in the face of adversity, and POTG netminder Spencer Otto, who had approximately 50 saves, seeing more rubber than a Michelin mechanic.
The Boys hit the road Tuesday October 22nd and face Aylmer.
