Hello to all of Titan Nation! Please read important info below.

Tavistock Titan Membership:

I am sure a lot of you have either heard the talk or have had a meeting with your team’s convenor about what is happening with Tavistock Minor Hockey.  For those that haven’t this is to bring you up to date like everyone else.  The executive has been approached by Embro Minor Hockey about amalgamating our two organizations into one.  The executive has talked numerous times about this before bringing it to you and now feel we can tell you that TDMHA Executive Members believe this is the direction that needs to be taken.  As most of you know our numbers have been declining in recent years making it difficult for some age groups to work properly. In some cases we have players playing at a level that may not be the proper fit for that player’s development because we don’t have the numbers to make the Rep, AE, LL system work properly.  When the players that are in our Bantam age group now were first year pre novice 9 years ago we had over 300 players. This year we are down to 200, with no major increases in the foreseeable future without an amalgamation with Embro.  None of us want to see the Tavistock Minor Hockey system decline any further and your executive feels if we don’t do this our minor hockey in Tavistock will continue to decline to the point that it may not be sustainable anymore with competitive teams.  This will most likely be a 2 year process to make happen and before it is finalized you the membership will vote on the final amalgamation proposal. Feel free to contact any of your executive with any questions or concerns when and if you have them.  We will try to keep you up to date with anything that arises.

Again there will be more info to follow up on but we wanted to keep everyone updated as much and as quickly as possible and will continue to do so.

Keeping Titan Nation Strong is the Goal Ahead!

Thank you for your time!

Mike Donaldson

Tavistock Minor Hockey President
