Midget Reps have Successful Weekend
Submitted By Mike Donaldson on Sun 10 20, 19
The New Life Mills/Delles Carrier Tavistock Midget Reps competed in the St. George Jack Tolhurst Memorial tournament this past weekend with all games being played at the Wayne Gretzky Centre in Brantford.  Friday night saw the boys face off against Belmont with Tavi coming out hard skating to a 5-2 win.  Game 2 on Saturday saw Tavi have another strong game beating Flesherton 4-0 and then in game 3 finishing out the round robin with a close 2-1 win over Brock.  This put Tavi into one of the semi finals on Sunday against Flesherton which the boys were able pull out a 3-1 win.

In the finals against Belmont, the reps came out strong again but ran into a hot goalie and fell behind 1-0 until the boys got the tying goal with 5 seconds left.  Tavi would get the winner in OT for the championship.  Hard work and great goaltending led to a successful weekend.
