NEW OHF Player Movement Regulations
Please be advised that effective the 2025–2026
hockey season, the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) has announced changes to its
Player Movement Regulations to enhance the player experience. Beginning in the
2025–2026 season, OHF Minor Hockey Players in the U10 age group and above will
have the opportunity to participate with the Association of their choice
regardless of category (AAA, AA, A, BB, B etc.) and regardless of residency.
This is a major change to minor hockey throughout all of Ontario. Some may view this increased flexibility and choice as a positive development while others may have questions as to what this means for them.
Please review the OHF Player Movement Overview and FAQs for more information.

The Tavistock and District Minor Hockey Association (TDMHA) is committed to making hockey accessible to everyone that wants to play, coach or volunteer in any capacity. We aim to provide a fun, respectful and challenging environment for members to develop both personal and hockey skills. This will remain our focus. The TDMHA Executive will begin work planning for next season and what these changes could mean for us locally.
In the meantime, if you have questions, please feel free to reach out to your level Convenor or myself.
Thank you,
Brad Witzel
President of the TDMHA
