2025/2026 Hockey registration is open.

Sharpen your skates, air out the hockey equipment and see if it still fits your kiddos. 

We are planning to start hockey/skills September 8, 2025.  More information will come out closer to this time.

Hockey Canada has launched a new registration system that is easy to use.  It is a very simple process.  There are how-to videos to help below. 

If your child has played hockey before, they have a Hockey Canada profile. DO NOT create a new profile. If you are unsure of your profile, please contact Arnie Schwartzentruber at [email protected]

Registration cost for 2025/2026

2nd Shift Hockey Program, 12 weeks of hockey, Saturday mornings, 7:30 to 8:20am - $175

U7 – Initiation - $400

U8 - $550

U9  - $630

U11 to U18 - $775

U21 - $735

Tournament Deposit
U8 Tournament deposit is $35.  
U9 and older - $125 Tournament Deposit. 
  

Rep/ MD fee 
There will be an additional Rep/MD fee of $200 to be paid after team selection is made.
Teams may be traveling to other arenas for additional ice time.
**If the Rep fee is not paid, your player will be reassigned to a Local League team.

Goalie Discount

Starting the 2025/26 hockey season, we will be giving a $250 discount for goalies that are U11-U18. 


Tryout fee

Starting the 2025 2026 hockey season, there will be a $75 tryout fee for non resident players wishing to tryout for representative hockey. If your player/goalie is successful in making the representative team, or stays in Tavistock for local league, the $75 will be put towards your Hockey registration cost.

Once Registration is submitted, there is a $75 non refundable administration fee for any that choose to cancel their registration.

There are limited spots, so please Register As soon as possible.

The late registration date is Aug 1 at 11pm. Fees increase by $25

No late fees for U7s or 2nd shift.

Optional Power Skating this Season

Based on the feedback from previous years, we had many requests for additional power skating.

This year you are able to purchase additional power skating for $100 for 5 sessions at the time of registration.

Power skating sessions will begin
Friday, August 15, 5 to 7 PM
Monday, August 18, 5 to 7 PM
Monday, August 25, 5 to 7 PM
The remaining sessions will be held in September

 Based on the participants registered, we will form groups depending on age, skill and ability. Power skating coaches will be 
Trevor Sauder, Deven Kropf and Tristan Hohl. 


 


Payment Options:  

There is an option to pay by credit card either in full or 2 installments. 
1st instalment, at the time of registration.
2nd instalment -  November 1st.

Your registration will not be completed until payment is received.  There is no option to pay by installments by etransfer or cheque.

We never want to see any child not play hockey for financial reasons.  Please reach out if you wish to discuss alternate arrangements.

We will also be hosting a FREE equipment Exchange/SWAP in late August. This is where you can come and donate equipment and get free equipment for the season. Last year we outfitted many skaters with free equipment!

Register a New Player

Before you can register a new player, parents must complete the Respect in Sports Program.

Once completed, you can set up a Hockey Canada profile.

Here is a step by step guide to complete the registration.

Must  live in East Zorra Tavistock Township or
primary residence is within 10 km of the Tavistock Arena,
or is a returning Tavistock player from the prior season. 

Tryouts Registration for Tryout / Evaluation

Only to be used for player that doesn’t qualify as a Local Player and would like to tryout for a Rep team

This is 12 ice sessions, once a week and no travel.

Tavistock Minor Hockey has the right to cancel the registration, with a full refund, if they are unable to place your player on the appropriate team.
