Atom Reps Kick Off OMHA Playdowns
The Saputo Atom Reps opened their first round of OMHA Playdowns on Monday, January 9th when they travelled to Waterford to take on the Wildcats.
After an evenly matched first 2 periods, the Titans were leading by 1. They were unable to hold the lead as their opponents netted 3 in the third, taking the Titans by a 5-2 score. Point getters in that game were Ashlyn Witt 1(1), Dylan West 1, Brady Raymer (2) and Luc Dionne (1.).
Game 2 of the series went on Wednesday back on home ice as the team played a fast-paced competitive match, picking up a 3-1 win on the night. AP player Tucker Otto opened the scoring early in the second while Max Harvey and Ashlyn Witt added markers in the third.
Game 3 on home ice saw the Titans battling hard, skating to a 2-2 tie at the end of regulation time. With a winner necessary, a 10-minute sudden death overtime period was played. The determined Titans squad would only need 12 seconds into the period to take the win on a goal by Max Harvey with the help of Dylan West. Also putting markers on the board in that game were Dylan West 2, while Tucker Otto, Luc Dionne and Max Harvey added the helpers.
