Peewee Reps are Silverstick Semi Finalists!!
The B. Kropf Forestry Peewee Reps competed in the Regional Silverstick Tournament in Kincardine last week, playing some great competitive hockey!!

The team's opening game went on Dec 28th when they faced the strong Kincardine Kinucks, and unfortunately after a hard-fought battle, fell to the hometown team by a 5-0 deficit.

Game 2 of the tournament went later that day vs the South Huron Sabres and once again, the Titans faced some tough competition.  After battling hard in a penalty filled match against an aggressive team, the Titans suffered a 4-1 loss, seeding them 7th place in the round robin standings.  Ayden Wilkins scored the lone goal in that game, with Nick Raymer picking up the helper.

The "underdog" Titans would now face Listowel, the 2nd place seeded team in the round robin.  A determined Titans squad would not be underestimated as they came out a hard-checking, disciplined team in a nail biter elimination match.   The teams skated to a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation time, with Marc Dionne netting the goal for Tavistock.  With a winner necessary, the teams played 2 sudden death overtime periods, the first 4 on 4 and then 3 on 3.  With still no winner, the outcome would be decided in a shootout.  After 2 shooters for each team, Marc Dionne would net the winner for Tavistock, eliminating the 2nd place seeded team and advancing to the semi finals.  Goaltender, Justin Roth was outstanding in the Tavistock net, making many key saves to keep the Titans alive.  All team members played key roles in getting the Titans this far.

The semi final match saw the Titans face their South Huron rivals once more.  Again, a fast-paced aggressive game would result in the team dropping a 4-1 decision to their opponent.  Marc Dionne scored the lone marker for Tavistock while Colton Masters added the helper.

Congratulations to our Titans on a job well done in being Silverstick semi-finalists, even though coming up against some tough competition in their division!!
