U11 LL Team 2, LL (Tavistock Minor Hockey)

The Tavi Titans LL2 team took home gold over the Family Day Weekend at the 20th annual Bob Black Memorial Tournament in Oshawa. Titans opened up their tourney with a game vs the host Durham Crusaders.  After a spirited back and forth game it was the Titan who claimed a 2-1 win.  After falling behind early on an awkward angle Tavi appeared to take the lead from a point shot, but after review the goal was disallowed.  Not long after Desmond Hart had a seeing eye roller find the back of the net to tie it at 1.  Chloe Gillespie tallied her first of the weekend on the power play which turned ...

Game 1: vs. Drayton White and it took until the 2nd period for the Titans to find the scoreboard taking a 1-0 lead on the strength of a Gavin Reeves shifty goal around the netminder to get the event underway.  Tavi took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd period on a goal by Chloe Gillespie, firing it to the far side and just under the pad of the goalie.  Alex Zehr in net for Tavistock turned away would be threats, until with 43.7 seconds left in the 3rd Drayton was able to get one past him, making it 2-1 Tavistock - after some hard work by the group in the dying seconds Tavistock would pick up their 1st ...
