Positive End to Regular Season!
The Delles Carrier/New Life Mills Midgets completed there Regular Season this past weekend with Three Final games.
Friday Night started off with a trip to Stoney Creek to play the Rangers from Glanbrook. It was a dominating game for the Titans but with the Rangers goalie standing tall made the night a little harder for the boys, with Hard Work and determination the Titans in the end took the victory 4-3. Saturday night it was off to Ayr to play the top team and hopefully for a good rematch from the Silver Stick Finals. With a Short bench and playing the night before it was a slow start from the Titans and Ayr took full advantage and controlled the game from puck drop. The boys did what they could do and gave a good effort to keep the score to 1-0 until the last minute when Ayr was able to land one in the open net to take the game 2-0, Great Goaltending from Jensen Vanboekel was able to keep the boys in striking distance.Game 3 and Final game for the Regular Season against St.George and a win needed to finish in the top 4 was the game plan also a little redemsion from the 1st meeting of the year when St.George was able to steel 2 points form the boys. With a great start scoring early and often the boys took a 3-0 lead after the 1st and a 5-0 lead after the 2nd period and with playing smart hockey in the 3rd took the 5-0 win. The Midget Titans are now looking forward to some rest time and getting geared up for the OMHA Playoffs to start. It was a successful season so far finishing 4th in League play with a 13-5-2 record, Schomberg Tournament Champions & Silver Stick Finalists, but there is one more Big prize at the end of the Tunnel.
