Semi Finals Next Up!
This past weekend the Delles Carriers/New Life Mills Midgets competed in the 1st three games of there 1/4 Final match up against the Ilderton Jets.
Game #1 was Friday night and with both teams not facing each other at all during the year it was a tight match all 3 periods but the Titans were able to hold on for the 4-3 win. Game #2 the next night in Ilderton had the showing that it was going to be another tight match as both teams traded chances and goals with in seconds of each other. The Titans were able to take momentum over after a goal that was created by Justin Wagler and Zac Berg's relentless work in the Ilderton end to score a big goal to make it 3-1, the boys added 2 PP goals as well to take a 5-1 lead into the 3rd period and eventually win the game 5-2 and take 2-0 lead in the series heading back home for a Family Day match up. Game #3 on Monday with Ilderton coming and trying to extend the series brought everything they could at the boys but weren't able to capitalize, the game stayed scoreless until mid way through the 2nd period when Tavi was able to take advantage on the PP, they would add another one before the break. Period 3 seen the Titans score 2 more and go on to win the game 4-0 and sweep the series 3-0.
The boys will now prepare for the Semi Finals against either BCH or Goderich. The Midgets would again like to thank everyone for there support throughout the playoffs so far and hope to see you at the next series.
