Busy Week for the Atom AE's
The Saputo Atom AE's hosted the Ayr Flames on Tuesday, November 17th, coming up with a 4-1 win.
Goal scorers on the night were Ayden Wilkins (2), Nathan Brenneman and Carter Otto. Picking up the helpers were Dean Alexander, Bo Schurink, Kevin Schweitzer, Ashlyn Witt, Otto and Wilkins. The team competed in the Simcoe Atom Rep tournament this past weekend, coming up against some tough competition. Game 1 saw the team face Wallaceburg on Friday, and after a hard-fought, come from behind battle, the team dropped a 5-4 decision. In game 2 of the tournament, the Titans faced the Caledonia Thunder. Again, after a tight match, the team fell to the Thunder by a score of 5-2. Game 3 saw the team face off against Mitchell, dropping a 4-1 decision to the Meteors. The final game of the tournament went later on Saturday when the team faced a strong hometown Simcoe team. The long day and early start was evident on the ice as the team suffered an 8-1 loss to the Warriors. Point getters for the weekend were Nathan Brenneman 5, Connor Roth 2, Carter Otto 1(1), Ashlyn Witt, Brady Raymer, Dylan West, Ayden Wilkins and Kevin Schweitzer. A great effort by all in a very competitive tournament! Next action for the Titans is Tuesday on home ice vs the Caledonia Thunder.
