Reps Begin Second Round of OMHA Playdowns
The Saputo Atom Reps began their second round of OMHA playdowns last Tuesday night on home ice vs the Waterford Wildcats.
The Titans dominated the play, ending up with a convincing 8-2 victory over the visiting team. Leading the offence for Tavistock was Ayden Wilkins with 4 goals. Bo Schurink added a pair while Connor Roth and Tucker Otto (AP) added singles. Assists on the night went to Dylan West, Carter Otto, Tucker Otto, Roth and Schurink. The Titans were on the road to Waterford for game 2 of the series on Saturday. This proved to be a much tighter match as the teams skated to a 6-6 regulation tie, leading to a sudden death overtime period. The final outcome was a 7-6 loss for the Titans as the Wildcats were able to score on a powerplay opportunity. Goal scorers for Tavistock were Connor Roth, Dylan West, Nathan Brenneman, Bo Schurink and Ayden Wilkins. Earning the assists were Dean Alexander, West and Wilkins. Game 3 of the series goes on Monday, January 18th in Waterford, with game 4 back on home ice on Tuesday, January 19th at 6:15 pm.
