Novice LL #1 Battle hard to bring home the Gold!!
The AMKAD Novice LL#1 team is the West Lorne Black and Gold Tournament Champion. This past Friday the Titans started the weekend with a tough game losing 7-0 to the West London Hawks. Cowyn Baker faced a ton of pucks with little help from the rest of the team. But then the Titans picked themselves up and turned things around beating out Mt Brydges 4-1and Ingersoll Express 4-1. In the semi-final game Sunday they defeated the home town West Lorne Comets 3-0 to put them in the finals against the undefeated West London Hawks that beat them in the opening game. The hard working Titans played with determination and hard work to make the coaches, parents and grand parents proud in a loud action packed end to end 3 periods of excitement that ended in a 3-2 victory. It was a great feeling to see the smiles on all of their faces after the final game and the earning of the medals as a team. A great weekend of minor hockey and these kids played some exciting games and wins to bring home the gold for Tavistock! Great job by all and special thanks to all the fans that made the winter drive to cheer nice and loud for the kids!Cowan Baker was outstanding all 15 periods in net. Point getters in the tournament were Drew Roth 8 (hat trick in the final), Marshall McKay 2(3), Quinn Yule 2(1), Charlee Harvey 1(5), Colin Smith 1(3), Savannah Adair (2), Gavin Jansen (1), Nathan Raymer (1).
