Titans fall to Woolwich
It was a different game in Tavistock on Saturday when the Woolwich Wildcats came to town compared to the one in Beverly just 6 days earlier.

The Titans played host to the other Woolwich team this past weekend.  With the team playing hard all least weekend, we were hoping that they would keep the momentum and show off their skills.  Having the week off from being on the ice together however, made a big difference on their showcase.

The Titans were all over the place, it was like one of their first games ever playing together and the Wildcats took full advantage of that.  It was only 30 seconds into the game when the cats struck first.   They would go on to score 3 more in the first, keeping the Titans at 0.

The second period would mimic the first, the visiting Wildcats dominated the puck and the Titans just couldn’t get their stick on it.  They would go on to make the score 5-0 by the end of 20 minutes of play.

The Titans finally managed to get on the scoreboard 39 seconds into the third.  “C” wearing Aaron Schlosser took the puck down the ice, passed it to Bo Schurink who then gave it to Sam Leis who stuck it through the goalie to find the back of the net.  3 minutes later the Titans would strike again.  Lucas Way getting his first goal of the season on a pass from Sam Leis.  Although the score was 5-2, the Titans felt that they had new life in this matchup.  It was a penalty filled third period, the boxes often seeing more than one player in at a time.  Even on a 5 on 3 power play, the Titans could not seem to put the puck between the pipes.  The Wildcats would manage to find the net 3 more times (although the official score sheet only said 1).

According to the sheet, the final score was 6-2 (unofficial score was 8-2).

We are hoping that the team that played Beverly last weekend will show up on Wednesday night when the Titans take on the Twin Center Stars on home ice.  Game time is 6:00pm.
