Titans Novice Hockey News
The AMKAD Novice LL #1 continued league playoffs last week, playing host to the Woolwich Wildcats on Wednesday, February 3rd.
After end to end action, the Titans dropped a 4-3 decision to the Wildcats when they broke a sure tie game with 6 seconds remaining in the 3rd. The team competed in the Hanover Canadian Tire Novice LL tournament this past weekend. Game 1 saw the Titans battling hard verses the Minto Mad Dogs, coming up with a 5-4 overtime victory. Chace Robinson led the scoring with 4 goals, while Gavin Witt netted the overtime winner. Game 2 of the tournament saw the team face the Hanover Falcons in yet another close match. The hometown team was able to score 2 quick markers late in the 3rd period, picking up a 7-6 win, unfortunately eliminating the Titans from further play. Point getters in that game were Chace Robinson 5, Jay Alexander 1, Nathan Wilker (2), Gavin Witt (1), Bailey Brenneman (1) and Gavin Jansen (1). Next action for the Titans is Friday, February 12th verses the Ayr Flames #4at 6:00 pm.
