International Silver Stick Finalists
The Delles Carriers/ New-Life Mills Midget Reps had another strong weekend of hockey, qualifying for the finals in the International Silver Stick Championships held in Forest, Ontario from January 8th to 10th.

In game 1 of round-robin play, Tavistock defeated the Petrolia Oilers 4-3 in a tight game that had to be decided in a shootout. After a short break between games, the Reps fell 1-0 in a well played game to a fast skating Regis Jesuit Raiders team from Colorado. The loss made their 3rd game a must win against Mooretown. Tavistock didn't disappoint, defeating the Jr Flags by a 3-1 score to ensure themselves a spot in the semi-finals and a return engagement against Mooretown. The Titans played another strong all-around game, prevailing by a 2-1 score and setting up a match-up in the finals against Ennismore. Playing an Eagles squad that had gone undefeated for the entire 2015/2016 season, Tavistock played another great game, keeping the game close to the end but eventually falling short by a 3-0 score. Tavistock players Jensen VanBoekel, Jacob Bauman, and Mitchell McKay were named to the all-star roster. The Midget Rep players and coaching staff want to sincerely thank all the friends and family that made the trip to Forest to cheer on and inspire the team during the weekend!
