Week Six Atom Review!
Week six of the season was a quiet week for the Saputo Atom Rep Titans of Tavistock, with only two league games scheduled......

Kicking things off, a game in Tavistock Tuesday October 12th, in which the Titans hosted the Langton Leafs. Having never seen this rivalry up close before this year, it turns out that even an early regular season tilt can bring out the 'enthusiasm' in some parents. Standing a foot away from what could have escalated into a real donnybrook, this reporter is pleased to report that cooler heads prevailed and everyone just walked away. Thank goodness it wasn't the playoffs. The boys kept up their stellar league play winning this chippy match-up 5-3, remaining undefeated in 5 straight. Jay Alexander had himself a night finding the back of the net four times. Grayden McRoberts also added a marker for the home team. Assisting in this one were Ryan Zehr who had two, with August Morschauser, Dylan McCann, and Colin Smith each adding a single helper.

The following evening the team traveled south to Caledonia to face off against the Thunder. An evenly played game that was tied at two's in the third, ended with a heavily debated last second buzzer beating goal, giving Caledonia the 3-2 victory. I had interviewed many players and parents off the record who seemed to think the buzzer operator and the clock operator were possibly in a fight that evening because they definitely weren't talking. This was the boys first loss in six league contests. Jay Alexander had a goal and an assist in this one, with Ryan Zehr also adding a goal, and Evan Nahrgang assisting once.

The boys look to bounce back Tuesday when they host the Ingersoll Express at the TDRC. Game time is 6:15pm and entry is still only $4.00, so come out and support this scrappy young team as they attempt to get back into the win column.

   See you at the rink.
