Titans Burned by Ayr Flames
The Bluemont Excavating Novice Reps have had a long break and had only 1 game on the schedule this past week, when they played host to the Ayr Flames on Saturday in Southern Counties League playoff action.
The visiting team got on the board early in the first but the Titans quickly answered back on a goal by Jay Alexander from Brady Kuiack and Parker Glitz. The Flames took the lead once again late in the first to make it a 2-1 game going into the second frame. After a scoreless 2nd period, the third saw lots of scoring for both teams. It was a 4-4 tie late in the game when a rusty Titans squad gave up a goal and were unable to recover, unfortunately suffering a 5-4 loss. Third period point getters came from Graydon McRoberts 1, Parker Glitz 1, Marshall McKay 1, Tyler LaFleur (1), Dylan McCann (1), Peyton Christie (1) and Drew Roth (1).
The team's next action is Tuesday, January 16th in Delhi and back on home ice on Wednesday, January 17th.
