Novice Reps advance to OMHA semi-finals!!
The Bluemont Excavating Novice Reps advanced to the semi-finals in OMHA playdowns after sweeping Twin Centre in three games. The third game of the series went on February 19th. The titans came out skating hard and took the lead midway through the first. Tavistock maintained their lead through the next two periods to finish with a 6-4 win.
The titans also began their semi-final series this past week with the West Lincoln Wrath. The first game was February 24th, on the road in Smithville. This game saw lots of end to end action with two evenly matched teams. The game remained scoreless until the second period when Tavistock went ahead. In the third period, West Lincoln scored and the game finished in a 1-1 tie. This sent the game into a 10-minute overtime period. The titans didn’t waste anytime driving to the net. Within the first minute, Tavistock scored to take the first win in the series 2-1. Spencer Otto was solid between the pipes, making many key saves.
The team also continued their league playoffs with a game versus Langton on February 23rd. After a scoreless first period, the titans got on the board in the second. The titans continued to put up points on their way to winning 7-1.
